In November 2024, the sediment removal works from the Cimego basin, located in the Municipality of Borgo Chiese and supplying the Storo hydroelectric power plant managed by Hydro Dolomiti Energia, were completed.
Between June 2023 and November 2024, approximately 26,000 m³ of sediment were removed using a dredging-suction-return system with a floating line of approximately 450 meters.
The dredged material was returned downstream of the power plant through the plant’s intake, with preliminary granulometric separation through a two-stage sieve.
